Our NORMI-trained inspectors physically access your attic space to conduct a thorough visual and diagnostic assessment. We examine roof sheathing, rafters, joists, insulation condition, and any HVAC components housed in the attic for signs of active or past mold growth. Beyond what’s visible, we use moisture meters to read moisture content in roof decking and framing members—elevated readings in materials that appear dry on the surface reveal problems a visual check alone would miss. We assess ventilation performance, checking soffit vents, ridge vents, gable vents, and any mechanical ventilation for blockages or inadequacy. We trace the routing of every bathroom and kitchen exhaust fan to confirm whether they’re venting outside or dumping moisture directly into the attic space. Where mold is observed or suspected, we can collect air or surface samples for laboratory confirmation and species identification. Your inspection report covers what we found, what’s causing it, and what needs to happen—whether that’s remediation, a ventilation correction, rerouting an exhaust fan, or a combination.
